A few of the regulations that we handle:

Local Law 84 (LL84): Benchmarking

This law requires owners of large buildings to annually measure and report their energy and water consumption. The information collected through benchmarking helps in identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.

Local Law 87 (LL87): Energy Audits and Retro-Commissioning

LL87 mandates energy audits and retro-commissioning assessments for large buildings every ten years. These assessments identify potential energy-saving measures and recommend actions to enhance a building’s energy performance.

Local Law 97 (LL97): Building Emissions Limits

This law sets emissions limits for buildings over a certain size, penalizing those that exceed their designated emissions caps. It aims to reduce carbon emissions from buildings and encourage the implementation of energy-efficient systems and practices.

Local Law 33 (LL33): Building Energy Efficiency Rating

This law requires owners of buildings over 25,000 square feet to obtain Building Energy Efficiency Rating labels on an annual basis to display near public-facing entrances.

Maryland Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS)

Benchmarking & Verification: This law requires owners of commercial and multifamily buildings 35k square feet and larger to benchmark and report their building's energy use and emissions to the Maryland Department of the Environment every year. The benchmarking data must also be verified by a qualified third party every five years to ensure its accuracy.
