In September, natural gas production remains healthy averaging 101.9 Bcf per day which is down 0.3 Bcf per day compared to last month. The Energy Information Administration reported an injection of 90 Bcf into underground storage for the week ending September 22 2023. Fall officially began on Saturday September 23rd, yet the demand for natural gas still remained strong. The main reason being that there is still strong power burn demand from the unseasonable warmer temperatures across certain parts of the country. However, over the course of last week power burn demand did drop by 5.0 Bcf per day. While gas prices still remain relatively low and volatile, some experts believe a slow ascent in prices may occur in the long-term.
